Going Up North is a new Christian band from San Diego's North County. All the songs were written by Chris Timmons and I (Thomas Gray). Chris and I have been in numerous other bands together in the past and have been friends for several years. It was just earlier this year that we decided to change the direction of our music and focus it's attention on the only thing that truly matters in this life. If we can change just one life with our music in a positive way then we are doing our jobs. On this recording I played the guitar, bass, and sang, and Chris took care of all the drum tracks. I also recorded it in my garage and sent the tracks into ProTools for mixing, and Chris gave his expert opinion when needed here as well. We started writing and recording about a month ago and have on this site what is already finished. There are still three songs currently in the works and more to come after that. When we have about 7 or 8 songs done we will put them on an album and have that for sale on our official web site and at our live shows, whenever we have them. We have also decided to give the profits of our CD sales to the Make-A-Wish foundation as well, when it becomes available for sale. So be looking for that! You'll get some cool, positive music and help out a good cause!
