Story behind the song
The song simply deals with a wrongful prosecution over an issue that the Law and DA and some Law enforcement (cops) did not like the book I was trying to write. It was about our government and some of their abussive tactics in law enforcement. Including some illegal ones perpetrated just to nab someone. So, their idea was simply to find a way to discredit me, before I could finish the book. Their tactics worked, in getting me to cross the line, unknowingly and unwittingly? But It didn't work, the way they wanted it to in it's finallity? Rather, their efforts, gave me even more credibility, as I was able to write in such a way that most common folk can relate to, better than so-called trained writers. I tend to write, just as I speak. No frills, or concerns for proper grammar, etc. Sophisticated people, don't like my writing habits? But they still read my work. But the common man, has no trouble understanding me, as I don't use many mediphors ... or make people try and figure out what I'm talking about. I say things in plain o'le english. And don't look for fancy words. Just plain talk and simple words for the most part. But law enforcement and government, evidently view me as a threat, when it comes to getting a point across to the average person.
Lyrics
(Verse 1): Just doin buisness, servin time here at Sandstone for old Uncle Sam and his wonderful Club Fed (Verse 2): Got no money ... Damn sure ... Got no honey ... Done lost everything, yes the man made damn sure of that. (Chorus 1): Now I got no choice on where I lay my head Stuck in this six by eight cell, on this damn'd o'le hard bunkbed ... They stole my freedom over what some fed said. Now you know ... yes you know I ain't thru yet ... (Spoken): Ahhh ... Play it nice Lit'l country blues here How 'bout a lit'l pickin Little more country style (Verse 3): Six month left on this five year bit ... When they open that there gate, ya know I'll be gone (Verse 4): With no paper to serve, I'll be as free as a bird Just maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe singin a brand new song ... (Chorus 2): But in the meantime I'm still livin by these club fed rules Tryin to mind my own buisness, Just playin the fool But when I'm free and clear, there won't be no next time Anyone who think's different's out of his mind ... (Verse 5): First thing I'm gonna do ... Yeah I'm gonna find me a good woman Maybe head on down, yeah I'll go on down, on down toward Mexico (Verse 6): Maybe hit Peru? Land somewhere down 'round Brazil One thing's for certain ... ain't comin back here, don't cha know ... (Spoken ending): Ahhh Yeah ... Got my ticket right here! I just can't take this place no more! You boys, all play it nice ... I'm outta here ... Bye Bye!
