For over 40 years I played lead guitar and did back-up vocals in various country bands. It has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. But, these days I stay at home and compose songs, both lyrics and music. My writing style is much broader than just country music. I also write southern rock, a little blues, lots of smooth jazz and movie themes and even some latin music. I have been writing for about 20 years and hope to for quite a few more years.

Lyrics
Deja Moo ©Alan D. David September 2006 All Rights Reserved (v1) Came home late, about midnight And I flashed that silly grin I’m guessing she was not amused As she waved that rolling pin (v2) I tried to speak, in my defense Though I was intoxicated I tried my best at making up But she was not infatuated (Build to chorus) She stared me down, and this is what she said… (Chorus) Shut your mouth Don’t say a word I don’t want to hear no more It’s just a bunch Of Deja Moo And I’ve heard that bull before The same old lies They’re getting old Just take them on out the door They’re just a bunch Of Deja Moo Yeah I’ve heard that bull before (v3) As I stumbled cross the kitchen floor I tried my very best To explain to her my tale of woe How I got into this mess (v4) But she wouldn’t listen to a word Didn’t hear a thing I said I tried again but she refused Turned her back on me instead (Build to chorus) As she walked away, this is what she said… Repeat Chorus
