Country Music Performer/Songwriter/Mike Anderson, Country Drifter
I have formed many Country Bands in my musical career in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Washington. and most have been "Mike Anderson and the Country Drifters" and all have been Country Bands with great musicans. (Secret: I did play rock & Roll in my High School years 1964-1968). I love Country Music, it has a special place in my heart. Singer Songwriter of Country Music, just recenty recorded 4 of my songs and 7 other songs in Nashville. Label: Westwood Int'l. Records; Produced & Arranged by Lonnie Ratliff. I would encourage anyone who has a dream to do something with their music to, "Go For It". This has been such a fulfilling experience that I wish I would have pursued this when I was in my 20's. I have been married to an Angel for 34 wonderful years and she has kept me focused on this dream. As I see it: "Life is too short not to follow your dream". Hope you enjoy my music. I plan to keep on entertaining for many years down the road. Country Music is my passion.

Story behind the song
I love these old songs that was the begining of Country Music Recordings. It really brings us back the the roots and history of this great music we enjoy. This song like many of this decade have various versions of the lyrics. I happen to have a Brother named Bob so that where these lyrics come from, hope you enjoy....
Lyrics
IN THE JAIL HOUSE NOW Key of (C) for Mike Anderson Intro: (Chorus) He's in the jailhouse now he's in the jailhouse now I told him once or twice, to quit playin' cards and a shootin' dice He's in the jailhouse now (1) Well I’ve got a brother named Bob, who used to steal gamble and rob He thought he was the smartest guy in town But I found out last Monday, that Bob got locked up Sunday They got him in the jailhouse way downtown (Chorus) He's in the jailhouse now he's in the jailhouse now I told him once or twice, to quit playin' cards and a shootin' dice He's in the jailhouse now (2) He was playin a game called poker, When he got in a fight with the owner He socked him once or twice between the eyes So they took him downtown to Jail, With no one to make his bail The judge done said that he will pay the fine. (Chorus) [ Musical Break ] (3) Then I went out last Tuesday, I met me a girl named Susie I thought she was the sweetest gal around She started to spend my money, and she started to callin' me honey We took in every honky tonk in town (Chorus) We're in the jailhouse now... We’re in the jailhouse now They told us once or twice, to quit playin' cards and a shootin' dice We’re in the j a i l …h o u s e now…………
