Country Music Performer/Songwriter/Mike Anderson, Country Drifter
I have formed many Country Bands in my musical career in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Washington. and most have been "Mike Anderson and the Country Drifters" and all have been Country Bands with great musicans. (Secret: I did play rock & Roll in my High School years 1964-1968). I love Country Music, it has a special place in my heart. Singer Songwriter of Country Music, just recenty recorded 4 of my songs and 7 other songs in Nashville. Label: Westwood Int'l. Records; Produced & Arranged by Lonnie Ratliff. I would encourage anyone who has a dream to do something with their music to, "Go For It". This has been such a fulfilling experience that I wish I would have pursued this when I was in my 20's. I have been married to an Angel for 34 wonderful years and she has kept me focused on this dream. As I see it: "Life is too short not to follow your dream". Hope you enjoy my music. I plan to keep on entertaining for many years down the road. Country Music is my passion.

Lyrics
Key of (E) for Mike Anderson "The Mountain" (Lonnie Ratliff / Vaughn Lofstead) (Four Bar Intro) (Chorus) It stands there in the distance reaching up into the sky Like a monument to eternity just watching time go by Men will come and men will go and time will surely pass But the mountain is forever holding secrets close and fast (1) In another time in history was this mountain once a shrine Did men come here to worship are their secrets left behind We'll never know the story for that's not meant to be Men can only question what's the mountain's mystery (Chorus) It stands there in the distance reaching up into the sky Like a monument to eternity just watching time go by Men will come and men will go and time will surely pass But the mountain is forever holding secrets close and fast (Bridge) Today we'll search the mountain spread out twenty men across Looking for that helpless soul who's out there somewhere lost A mystery old and timeless we can never understand Do voices call from the mountain, what draws these lost souls in To the mountain (Repeat Chorus) with Tag Yes the mountain is forever and she holds her secrets fast Writers: Lonnie Ratliff / Vaughn Lofstead (©Okie Acres Music (BMI) /)
