Christian Trance
Light. Energy. Flight. Freedom.
Just a few words to describe this amazing music style called trance. I've always been intrigued by the creativity expressed in electronic music. I've made it a goal to always portray the freedom found in God through this style of music. I don't believe in self-glorification; everything I make represents spiritual aspects, and I don't want this to be completely about me, as most artists out there have succumbed to. That is mainly why I use a music alias, alphalyphe.. instead of my name.. my name matters not because my identity is within Christ.
I guess there are a few different factors leading to my love of this music style.. probably the biggest was the style of 90's dance music. Another was the old Mp3.com site.. sometimes I'd just sit and browse every single track they had, picking out what I liked best. That led to partial frustration regarding how artists "ruin" a track in certain ways. And maybe I am picky.. but all that led to wanting to create my OWN sound.. wanting to make trance how it fits me, and what I feel.. what I wanted it to express, and how it makes me feel. And that's true with every other artist out there, or at least the truly genuine ones. So now I'm on this personal journey, I guess.. seeking to express the ultimate love and joy and freedom found only in our gracious Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ.
I suppose there's no way getting around the fact that I'm becoming a Christian artist, and let me just say that most of what I post are basically solid ideas of what I like to hear.. all the while, being mindful of creating an artistic sound to convey spiritual veiwpoints.
At this point, I'm just taking time to develop my style.. I have SO many ideas and things I want to try. Although I would love it, not everyone thinks "techno" is that great.. and techno is pretty much the general term for it all, I guess. Computers are amazing, and yes.. right now all I use is my computer (I plan to have more of a setup soon.. keyword: PLAN.) So, yes.. It's just me and the machine.
