As a single parent I understand hardships of life and have been writing songs for years but didn't pursue a music career till now. I packed my bags and headed for Nashville where I competed in a Nashville Star Search Showcase as a country singer and was offered a gospel recording contract. I didn't sign it, but I learned everything I could while I was in Nashville. I set out to publish my songs so people could be blessed by the lyrics. This is how "ShyAnne" began.

Story behind the song
ShyAnne wrote this song about her great grandfather and great uncle that played the guitar and fiddle at country square dances. The dances were held at family farms in the barns. ----------------------------------------- Music and Lyrics by Shyanne Mailen © June 1, 2006 The music was recorded at the Cypress Room Studio in Nashville TN by HIT songwriter and recording artist, Don King along with his session musicians.
