Born in Edina, Missouri, I was raised on traditional country music from all of the good ole boys. It was always Jones, Haggard, Williams, Acuff, Tubb, and the rest. Sundays at grandpas' house was an all day affair of good home cooking and music. Grandpa played his harmonica and juice harp, Dad played guitar, Uncle Lindsey played guitar and fiddle, and everybody sang. Those were the days that developed my interest in music. Especially country music. "Is there any other kind? "I began playing guitar when I was twelve years old, and started writing music at eighteen or so. I played drums in high school and eventually gave them up to focus on my guitar. I am strickly a songwriter type guitar player. The song "Nobodys' Fool", currently playing on my site, was written in 1999 originally. I rewrote it in 2001 and the finished product is what you hear today. I especially want to pay my gratitude to Jason Brian Adams for a truly great production of the song. That is him singing and playing. Without Jason, this song would not have come to life. I am most indebted to him for his efforts and talents. Thanks Jason, so much. I also want to thank my father for keeping the music tradition alive. He still plays at 80 years old, as does my older brother Doug. Thanks to all of you listeners that have given me positive response and very kind words on "Nobodys' Fool". I respect all of the opinions received. To all of the songwriters out there, KEEP ON WRITING!!

Lyrics
Nobody's Fool Key of D Verse One In a cafe down in Dallas having coffee with a friend Someone came in the doorway a familiar face from way back when My friend said do you know her cause her eyes are glued on you I said oh that's nobody I used to be nobody's fool Verse Two So I thought I'd walk on over it wouldn't hurt to say hello But with each step I get closer to those old feelings I used to know There's no need to fight it that's a fight that I can't win And I know down in my heart I'd be nobody's fool again Chorus There was a time that woman held my heart in her hand If you'd asked me then I'd a swore what we had would never end I can't blame it on nobody but believe there was a day I did And I know down in my heart I'd be nobody's fool again Verse Three She said I heard you found a new love and I thought this was the end Now by chance we're here together could we start this all again I looked at her and smiled and said I wish the best for you You can keep the memories I won't be nobody's fool Chorus There was a time that woman held my heart in her hand If you'd ask me then I'd a swore what we had would never end I can't blame it on nobody but believe me there was a time I did And I know down in my heart I'd be nobody's fool again Tag Yes I know down in my heart I'd be nobody's fool again Fade copyright 1999 DAJO MUSIC/David H.
