Story behind the song
Its funny out of all the songs I,ve written this one still to this day seems half way finished. Its seems so boring and empty to me and the irony is it has gone further up the charts than any other song yet.
Lyrics
ANGEL OF MINE * Well she's somthin' special She's one of a kind She's there when I need her And she's always on time I'll never know what I did to diserve This Angel of mine She wakes me in the morning She lays me down at night She takes all my worries And makes it allright Her love is like the ocean And her lips are like wine She knows everything about me But she doesn't mind I'll never know what I did to diserve her Angel of mine *special thanks to my daughter Amanda A Horton (backup-vocals) Lyrics and Music written and performed by: Danny Horton copyright 2001

Hi Danny, great song, i love the guitar, sounds cool! Like Richard said, vocals are hard to hear and your voice could use a bit more brilliance, but all in all, nice tune! Take care Gala

Thumpin, heavy, light, floating, swiriling, straight down the middle ROCK! I love the simple Spanish vibe on the lead section, and the music builds wave apon wave to the fade.. REALLY nice!

Danny, first and foremost, I admire anyone who writes about their spouse! ;-) Very chunky bass riff, with ethereal keyboard textures making a tense soundscape that frame your vocals with a lot of room. You get some really unique guitar sounds that are a bit buried in the mix. Love to hear more of that. Also when you add harmonies you sweeten the soundscape and fatten your vocal delivery. I admire your patience in building the arrangement - I wish I had that gift! LOL! Congrats on a winner, Johnny
