Dark, edgy(no pun), jazz rock soundscape. Went for a LARGE sound to justify this most awesome region in Colorado, USA.

Story behind the song
I wanted to portray the awesome feeling of this Colorado canyon, so I got some new string samples and went crazy. I don't think it spoils the mood, as I pushed the piece to sound real BIG. Various guitars were used on this, so you get different sounds created just to hear the tone of the instrument.

Excellent work! It is marvelous to listen to all those changes in this tune and never get lost.....simply great! I love it! Great guitar leads in different styles and sounds, I never heard such a variety of sounds into a single track, innovative music and arrangement. Respect! -Spin-

Your compositions keep me on edge listening for what progressions will ensue next. I love all the transitions in this piece especially. Each section sounds completely unique, yet each complements the song completely and perfectly. This lets me know you're putting a lot into your composition, not just a loop. Excellent, professional and "thinking"... Thanks for sharing...

My jaw dropped when I heard the first few bars of this! Put me in the mind of some good "ole" jazz (when jazz was REALLY jazz). Love the changes (smooth), the textures and the guitar is heaven! Love your stuff! Mr Grant

Majestic in scope. I love your musical build-ups. Rich and full synths with your unmistakable stunning guitar work. Great octave work and versatile tonality/texture to each stanza. The production equals in prominence with the Grand Canyon itself. Of course, I am a fan. Take Care
a trip in rhythm and melody. Amazing stuff. And: Closing my eyes I can see the view from the south Rim that creates the strongest of feelings within. Sometimes you´d like to jump, sometimes just enjoy, sit, hold your breath and look. Cheers and congrats! Andreas

What a journey beneath soundscape textures ranging from smooth jazz and jazz fusion to chill out to prog rock. Fantastic masterpiece.

Bobby; I just added to songswriter's station another of your master pieces. "Grand Canyon". What I like about this music is it is calming and refreshing to me. I can listen to this in my office while I work. I can just sit back with my eyes closed. I hear the darkness and slight edge now in then in this. I like the way you panned some of those interesting effects. WHen you play the octave lead now in then it gives it such a very melow sound against a touch of electronica kind of thing. I dig this whole production. ANother 5 star piece of art!
