Story behind the song
My heart for the youth of today.
Lyrics
Don't touch the little Ones, for they are pure Light. Their hearts shine the darkness, and obliterate the night. They have the strength and energy we hold dear. Their lives are gifts to us, are you listening, lend an ear. We have them such a short time, then they disappear and turn into the elders. Does that give you cause to fear? For it is we who raise them up to become who they are. And should we make a mess of it how can they reach that star? The star we heard about when we were very young. It lit up our hearts to such a degree it merged into the Sun. It helped us stand and caught us when we fell. So now we go to teach them to ring the Living Bell. Remember how we learned the wrongs and rights? How to stand on Principle, and pick and choose our fights? We stood our ground; but when held our Peace the war consumed us and we wondered, would it cease? Our battle nearly over, there's has just begun. Their own wars are raging and they will not be outdone. They'll use what we taught them for they are pure Light. Their hearts shine the darkness, and obliterate the night.
