HARD ROCK BAND THAT BLENDS HEAVY BRITISH AND SOUTHERN ROCK styleS. TOUR DATES INCLUDE GIGS WITH AC/DC, DERRINGER, PAT TRAVERS BAND...AND WERE CONSIDERED AS
AVALANCHE is defined by Webster's as: "an unstoppable natural force"...and this all-original rock band certainly seems to fit that definition...overcoming the odds to produce some of the very best original hard rock anywhere! With an unorthodox strategy for success in 1978 (which included 18 months of intense rehearsals, their own record label, $75,000.00 worth of state-of-the-art stage gear, and a record on over a dozen New England radio stations for three months...all before ever playing a live gig) AVALANCHE's debut show was attended by over 3500 people..and the band was immediately playing to sold-out shows and standing room only crowds wherever they appeared. Within a month after their first gig, AVALANCHE was headlining in large club venues, and shortly after that, the band was opening tour dates and sharing concert stages on AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" tour, as well as with DERRINGER, and THE PAT TRAVERS BAND. They were also considered as a tour opener for TOTO's First U.S. Tour. A tight and well rehearsed rock-n-roll machine...this band did whatever was necessary to bring studio-quality hard rock to the live-concert stage...and they did it without the support of a major record label. Now recording again, with all the surviving members of the original lineup...here is the first new AVALANCHE music in over twenty years...as well as some of their old music too, (most of the recordings have never been available before). AVALANCHE continues to defy the odds with their staying power and persistence...and by remaining "unstoppable"...they are here NOW....for you to sample and enjoy! Story behind the song
Music and Lyrics by Michael Foster in Nov. 1981 Music and Lyrics Revised in June, 2006. Copyright 1984, 2006 by Crystal Magic Music Publishing (ASCAP) Arranged, Produced and Mixed by Michael Foster Engineeered by Mark Easton Recorded in June, 2006 at ROUGH CUT STUDIO Eastford, Conn. Remixed at GOLDEN SUN STUDIO in 2009...North Palm Beach, Florida. Mastered in 2009 at THE STUDIO in Canberra, Australia by: David Pendragon ************ Michael Foster: Electric Guitar (Pan Left) and Vocal Mark Easton: Electric Guitar (Pan Right) and Outro Solo Barry Easton: Drums Michael Corsini: Bass WILL THERE BE TOMORROW I originally wrote this song in the mid 80's...when things in the world were really starting to take really obvious turn for the worse. The problems in the Middle East were getting very bad. Acid rain and pollution of the environment were documented facts...but were getting rapidly worse. Brutality and war were everywhere. Politicians were indifferent and impotent. Anti-trust Laws were systematically being dismantled..creating monpolies in all areas and economic sectors. The lives of the average person took a back seat to Corporate bottom lines. Job security became non-existent. Violence and drugs ruled all major urban areas. Even the Free Press and the airwaves came under corporate control...and misinformation, distraction, and complete fabrications of facts became the only "information" available. The world...as it had always been...was vanishing before our eyes. In the twenty years since then...every single one of these conditions has only gotten worse. Today...Global Warming and the melting of the Polar Ice is threatening all life on this planet at an alarmingly fast rate. The technology to reverse this problem has existed for a while...but is being surpressed or discredited by corporations who are only concerned with total control over all aspects of life...even if it means...the destruction of all life. Politicians today are paid employees of these corporations. The population has been conditioned into staying home and feeding their television addiction...which continues to relentlessly pound home the complete falsehood that things are great...and anyone who says otherwise is just a liberal alarmist. People are more worried about whether Monday Night Football is on...than they are worried about floods, famine, a poisoned environment, and how those things will all eventually lead to the breakdown of society...as we have always known it. Terrorism...although real...isn't remotely as much of a problem as an unstoppable natural catastrophe that will change life on this planet forever...if not end it altogether. The lyrics to "Will There Be Tomorrow" were re-written in June 2006 to reflect the dire facts we all now face as a species. We are so distracted with fighting with each other...that we cannot even see the approaching storm. The song's title is today, a very real question that needs to be asked...and addressed...before it is too late to take action of any kind. As the song says...at this time..."we're all racing to the finish"...and "we're too blind to see." Since the media and the news refuse to talk in frank and honest terms about this imminent disaster in any meaningful way (other than an occasional sound-byte here and there)...I felt that music...which used to be a real force for change before the corporations closed all the airwaves to everything but their own shortsighted agendas of profit and control...might be a way to begin asking the real questions...that we all need to start talking about...if we expect to have a world to pass on to those who follow us. Lyrics
WILL THERE BE TOMORROW Music and Lyrics by Michael Foster in Nov. 1981 Music and Lyrics Revised in June, 2006. Copyright ©1984, 2006 by Crystal Magic Music Publishing (ASCAP) 1st Verse Well, we're not worried about tomorrow.... We're only living for today... We're all living on a time bomb... The fuse gets shorter every day We're all racing to the finish ... We just don't want to slow down ... We're gonna push it to the limit ... Until we're dead and in the ground. BRIDGE You believe what you want to believe ... It's all the same to me ... Got two good eyes, and two good ears ... And I know what I see... This old world is spinning round... Just like water down the drain ... Will there be tomorrow? Will there be tomorrow? Will there be tomorrow.... In a world that's gone insane?....I don't know! (In a world that just won' t change? I don' t know!) 2nd Verse So figure out where you' re going ... And try to keep to your plan... You know there still might be enough time... But we've all got to take a stand... While politicians take our money ... The hour' s getting late ... What' s going on here just ain't funny ... We haven' t got much time to waste... Repeat Bridge 3rd Verse Tear down the walls between us ... We' re all the same inside .... You know that Love is the answer ... It 's the thing that we deny ... And when we 're selfish and greedy ... Is when we think there ain' t enough ... Our problem isn' t the needy ...¦ Wounded people can get rough. Outro Bridge You believe what you want to believe ... It' s all the same to me ... We' ve all got eyes ...we' ve all got ears But we' re too blind to see ... This old world is big enough ... It' s our thinking that is strange ... Will there be tomorrow? Will there be tomorrow? There won' t be tomorrow For this world if we don' t change ... Don' t say no! Oooo we' ve got to change ... OUTRO Love is the answer ... We' ve got to change I can' t see tomorrow ... If we don' t change ... Trust your feelings ... It' s time to change ... Love is the answer ... Oooo we' ve got to change ... Trust your heart and not your eyes ... That' s just your brother in disguise. Solo to End

I love it.... I think this was always one of favourites, even before. David got this crisp, not to mention good and loud, without losing the dynamics. Needs to be played at 90 db. :)
