Story behind the song
We wanted to bring awareness to the crisis that our earth is in. More pollution is released into our air & water everyday, everyone just looks the other way. Large corporations are allowed to pollute with no meaningful consequences. They get a minor slap on the wrist..and the disregard for humans is appalling...
Lyrics
Greenhouse Effects I looked at the sky with a tear in my eyes today..... The rains falling down and washing it all away...... I looked at the sky but the air is just heavy and gray... Chorus: Where are we going Where are we now Where are we going Where are we now Are we Now I looked to your face but it's showing no trace today....... The storms coming in and it's blowing it all away........ The illusion of truth is showing its' head today........ The storm's coming in and it's blowing us all away....... Chorus: Where are we going Where are we now Where are we going Where are we now Are we Now I looked at the sky with a tear in my eyes today....... The rains falling down and washing it all away........ I looked to your face but it's showing no trace today......... The storm's coming in and it's blowing us all away....... Chorus: Where are we going Where are we now Where are we going Where are we now Are we Now Jerry Willard & Candace Willard Peace

Howdy Peas & Carrots, I hope the day is great for you both and that the weekend is relaxing for you. It's a bright sunny day, here in Old Kentuck... somehow seems rare these days! But that brings me to one of my favorite efforts of your musical talent... "Greenhouse Effect". Powerful lyrics that say far more than just the written word, the emotion pours out of this song with your heartfelt vocals and the melody offers up the mystery of the question: "Where are we going?" Like I said... one of my fav ES songs and no wonder it topped the charts so strongly and remains in the top 40!!!!!! Deserves all the stars it musters and more!!!!!! Respectfully, Wade

Love the layering of acoustic guitars. Nice gliding bassline. The lyrics are excellent. Results in a strong statement musically supporting the lyrics.

Love this one. Sounds sad and depressing in a way and I need to feel that way every once in a while. It feels good to me. Great Guitar, very well put together, Great Vocals. Is this a benefit song ? I give it 5 stars accross the board.

Great work here, the poignant lyrics expressed beautifully with a subtle and effective acoustic backdrop. The line "I looked at the sky with a tear in my eye today" flooded me with images of the powerful television add from long ago with the elderly Native American man shedding a tear over what has become of the earth. Excellent!
