Yankem and The Jobbers are a Dark folk band from the Northern California. Founded in Vallejo, Ca in 1999, The origins of the group are shrouded in mystery and the members identities are intentionally kept hidden from the public. Yankem and The Jobbers released the underground classic "Self Titled Debut Album" in 1999. The album was met with much critical acclaim and served as a catalyst to subsequent tours of the United States. The behavior of the band was noted to be often strange and self destructive and a decade of rumored drug abuse and mental illness have prevented the band from recording any more than a handful of singles until the band went on hiatus from touring in 2013. In 2016 the band announced via social media that it had reformed and an upcoming album and supporting tour are planned. Krooked records re-released "Self Titled Debut Album" in April 2016.
