Ben Allan's musical endeavors started when he was merely 17 and have only evolved ever since. He delivers acoustically driven, home-written songs laced with emotion and sentimentality. For Ben, writing music is a constant learning experience, one that has endless boundaries to be explored. He looks to represent mulitple genres through his music, never limiting himself to one specific sound. The finished product is an eclectic compliation of songs full of energy, emotion, and a Martin D-15 acoustic guitar. His full length: They're Only Miles is being recorded this summer at MMI Studios with a tenative release date in early 2007. For now, catch him at a live show or take a listen to a few sample demos released here. Contact: bengasparini@gmail.com

Lyrics
I store my life away in this bottle where it floats on the crest of a wave And I find pieces of this to be reminiscent of a time when I knew everything Of a time when I had everything And there’s a light in the distance that keeps shining and glistening off the water that connects our homes set miles apart You can float away Along the deepest blue You can float away I’m right beside you Taking steps to make things right between us, I was always trying to breathe life into you Through these airwaves riding the light from the moon To get through this message that I’m sending to you for so long You can float away Along the deepest blue You can float away I’m right beside you The past has past and there’s little change in the aftermath You hold opposing reasons that tend to fall apart at the seems So leave the baggage behind, I’ve got plans to take a drive Across the great horizon of the clear blue sky
