I wrote this song "A Thief In The Night" in 1991 during the gulf war I had no problem with any of the lyrics it all came to me very quickly and easy then 15 years later In 2006 the lord allowed it to be recorded in a music studio (John's recording studio in Russellville Ar.) After that the Lord has given me four more songs, "Our Redemtion Is Drawing Nigh", "The Trumpet I Can Almost Hear", "When He Appears", "The Son Of Man", "Dangerous Times" May these songs Bless all who hears them! Story behind the song
I wrote this song "a thief in the night" in 1991 during the gulf war i had no problem with any of the lyrics it all came to me very quickly and easy then 15 years later the lord allowed it to be recorded in a music studio (johns recording studio in russellville ar.)it is being played on local radio(karv)and i hope it blesses everyone who hears it.

You said it brother...I always rember my father saying it many times as I grew up. He will come like a thief in the night!!!!!! The music in this is oh so good...great bass line and tempo. The mandolin and harp solidify this track!!!! Everything on this songs works and works well. Superb lyrics and they were delivered in excellent form. High marks for this inspirational gem!!!!!!!
