Story behind the song
This was originally written for the soundtrack to 'The Luckiest Man In The World'. Although for various reasons the play never went ahead. The initial lyrics were written by the show's director and they were 'installed' onto the music by Esme. A lot of work went into writing this and we thought it was a shame to lose it just because in wasn't written for 'Bethany', so we agreed that Esme should re-write the lyrics. She wrote these lyrics only days before the recording sessions began. The real aim here was to write the cheesiest rock song we could possibly gorge out of ourselves. I took influence here from the best and cheesiest rock songs out there such as Living On A Prayer and Wild Child and threw in a bit of Meat Loaf. This in my opinion has Esme's best vocal performance. Although it took the best part of a day due to her accidentally getting drunk.
