The Voice of UP Manila to the World!
The U.P. Manila Chorale is the official choir of the U.P. Manila. It was founded in 1992 by a group of Behavioral Studies students and eventually was recognized as the campus choir.
Through the years, the group has been performing a wide range of songs from different genres: sacred, secular, folk, jazz, popular music; and from different historical periods: renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary; and from our very own Filipino music. Despite having no conservatory students in the group, and the age level is mostly college age, the U.P. Manila Chorale has been able to mold its members into well-rounded and versatile singers.
Youth, vitality, and love of music defines the choir aptly called the “Voice of U.P. Manila to the World”.
Our feature album, In Paradisum, is a live amateur recording of our sacred concert in 2005 of the same name. We performed excerpts of Faure's "Requiem". I suggest you listen to it in Lo-Fi for a less brilliant sound, but Hi-Fi is fine if you prefer it.
We hope to add more music in the future. We'll rehearse them first if we may.
Cheerio!
