Oops, you have stumbled into my hidden world of music that I have made (or worked with others to make) in my little home studio
Hello, I am from the deep south in Mississippi and have a lot of country, gospel, blues, jazz, and some classic pop/rock influences that gets tangled up in my guitar music. I even mix a little bluegrass pick'n in every once in awhile.

I haven't heard this track in quite a while. I knew when I heard Gary post this song he wrote that I would have to take a stab at recording it. Everyone did a stelar job on their respective parts. I think that I'm going to work it up with my band. It would go over very well in my neck. Hope everyone is doing well.-Louie

I had nearly forgotten I sang this song (Its been nearly 15 years ago, and its been a tremendous time of tumult to say the least). I had it a playlist, and my wife and I were listening to it. I wanted her to hear some of the other artists I like on this site. When this song kicked on, She casually mentioned that the singer's voice sounded familiar. "That's me!" I exclaimed. It was so good to hear it after all this time. Gary wrote some really great lyrics and everyone really stepped up to bat on it. Now she listens to it at least once a day. That's always a good feeling. Thanks for letting me take part in it.

Being from an old railroad town on the Mississippi river, and a father that worked for the railroad, I tend to be attracted to these songs. The whistle 'moaned', as you put it so nicely, every night as I layed in bed as a child. I always found ithe sound so soothing. Anyway, great song, LOVED the lyrics!! You have a wonderful voice.
