I write all the time...and love to keep busy playing and recording with friends.
I wrote these songs with a band of my friends who have known and played music together and with seprate projects in Albuquerque New Mexico since the late 80's. Also I am privaliged to have online musical friends Jam as well.

Story behind the song
They call you a gumshoe, a private eye. In truth you’re just a guitar slinger down on his luck. It’s 1951 and you spend your days chasing down 2 bit punks and no account dames for anybody with enough cash to get you by. Your one passion in life (other than a bottle to make you forget just how low the world has sunk) is your beat up guitar. You take it to the local bar to play with a bunch of other losers just like you. It’s the only time you're free from the nagging feeling that you could be more. They are addicted just like you to the blues and jazz of this beaten down town you live in…the place you’ve come to call… Blue City 0Dannyboy & Tal Rules present, "Blue City".
