Story behind the song
A place I found one day that felt so much like a home.
Lyrics
ALGODONES WIND LYRICS Now and then I have this dream I am walking on the street Blue moon sky passes by She always smiles at me Cotton fields of green Somewhere make believe Summer days through a haze She always talks to me Another let down breaks my resolve ALGODONES wind Take me back again ALGODONES wind Carry me to the end ALGODONES still calls. Train whistle blows on a desert night Sounds so close but out of site Cotton wood trees swaying in the breeze She always sings to me Don’t wake me up before I sleep Tumble weed I’ll follow your lead Two line highway goin my way She always waits for me Another let down breaks my resolve ALGODONES wind ………..( chorus

No way this song should be buried on page two of your song list! This song should be on the radio everywhere. This is a masterpiece that sounds more authoritative every time I play it. Your voice and your lyrics are so unique and convey such a compelling vision that I have heard nowhere else in all my musical travels. Your multi-layered guitar tapestries tempt the listener away from the melody and lyrics - and rightfully so as the guitars are so creative and warm. "Algodones Winds" requires several spins to drink it all in. Who is playing bass on this track? Pretty nifty bass work. This is my favorite Dave Lunbeck song. Many to choose from, but this one always grabs me as a classic awaiting discovery. I love that line "another let down breaks my resolve..." I''ve been there many times, brother. Tremendous track and I strongly recommend it to anyone reading this post! Your fan, Johnny
