DILEMA
Bio
Marcus Munroe was born and raised in the southern streets of Greenville, South Carolina. Music influenced his life at an early age, as he became a fiend to the seductive hip-hop scene. Witnessing the lavish life style portrayed and incredible display of freedom of speech, the young man would recite quotes from his favorite artist’s all day as if he wrote the lyrics. Anticipating new music releases and underground drops, the listener slowly turned into an artist, critiquing artists with questionable rhyming skills he thought he could outshine.
After developing a style that he labels as “Depends” (Depends on how the f@#* he feels), the young artist amazed schoolmates with freestyles and occasional battles. After winning a few talent shows he decided to take it to the studio and hit the streets of Greenville with mix tapes creating a serious buzz. With a love for east coast lyrics and dirty south beats, the dirty south recipient brought a unique style as he flipped it every possible way with his down south slang bringing forth new vocabulary. The inspiring artist moved to Atlanta, Ga for more opportunity and exposure and hooked up with his old schoolmate (J Dank) and put out a compilation album together (Roc n Chair Compilation Volume 1) which heated the streets of ATL, it was at this point which Marcus created his alter ego D.I.L.E.M.A. standing for (Delivering Ill Lectures Entrapping My Audience).
D.I.L.E.M.A. would go on to put in work for his solo project “Road Ready” and at the same time forming his own independent label “Road Ready Records”. Since then D.I.L.E.M.A. has performed all over ATL in such spots as the Atrium, Club Frequency, Club 112, The Royal Peacock, several Bike fests and strip clubs. D.I.L.E.M.A. has also shared the stage with artist such as Lil John, David Banner, T.I., and Bonecrusher, and has also worked with major record label artist “The HOODFELLAZ” on Bad Boy records. After receiving radio play with his hit “Butherface”on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 radio station D.I.L.E.M.A. knew he had what it takes to be an industry giant. This thoroughbred MC is the future of hip-hop, his crazy simile and metaphors and ability to paint a picture in story format combined with real life experiences is fixing to up the bar in the industry and put South Carolina on the map.
