I don't know what to say besides just give it a spin. It's a little long(7:38), but when you listen, you should understand why. It just has to build for a while, before it can explode out of its shell.

Story behind the song
For a while there in Denton, I was writing about a song a day. Some were just okay, and some were like Dance Upon Air, but at least I was writing consistently, for better or worse. I wrote down the title in my notebook and it sat there for months upon months. I saw it every time that I opened the freaking notebook and it was starting to drive me crazy. Then, out of nowhere, the words decided to come out, pretty much the way that they sound now. This song makes me think of a lot of different things, but most of all I think about someone rising to the top, only to find out that it's not what they really expected, which is something that just about all of us can relate to. It really moves toward the end, and every time that I hear it, it makes me feel some kind of emotion, whether it is happiness, sadness, excitement, or just good vibes. *Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Vocals, Bass – Larry Grimes *Drums and percussion – Joe Zuniga
Lyrics
What’s this, cloud across the sea? Could it be that I am lost upon the trees? Swinging, swaying, everyone but me. And still I dance upon the air. I dance upon the air. Don’t take this too far I’m getting bored of you, Maybe I should see the light, hanging out, with fear. Swinging, swaying, everyone but me. And still I dance upon the air. I dance upon the air. The crowded streets below me sit, and I alone forget, All the years of struggle to reach these heights… And maybe I would rather run than fight. I’m starting to think that that’s okay. The pavement gets a little close, and so I’ll be a ghost, Haunting the skies above L.A. And you will know me, ten years down the road… As the guy who let go of the dream. I just can’t… I just can’t concentrate… I just can’t concentrate… I just can’t concentrate… I just can’t… I just can’t. One last thing before I go, you always reminded me of home, And now the road below me grows, and I can’t wait to feel again. And so I dance upon the air, I dance upon the air, I dance upon the air, And still I dance upon the air.
