I was reading in the ATL-Constitution one day about a young child who got abducted from a school yard. It really had this profound effect on me, and I was surprised to find tears streaming from my eyes. I immediately sat down and wrote this song in memory for all the lost innocent ones. It starts out happy, an emotive expression meant to convey a child playing hopscotch and laughing at their trips and throws of the rock. It gets dark and disturbing as the predatory nature of their abductor shadows over. Is it really a story of a child and a predator - or is it the struggle we find in our own psyches at our own lost innocence?
