Story behind the song
Erm I loved the book Northern Lights/The Golden Compass and have always wanted to write a film score for it, so, erm, I did. The first few seconds introduce the mysterious 'dust motif' then the 'Lyra motif' crescendos and then into a folky version of the Gyptian theme to show Lyra's playful Oxford.
