http://www.KailaPop.com It's been quiet for Kaila this past year, but you should be hearing a lot more about this high profile import model in the next few months. Kaila debuted in the industry as a Playboy model and has been featured on the covers of numerous magazines, including Import Tuner and House of Roses and seen the pages of FHM magazine. She is what the industry calls a "triple threat" excelling in music, acting, and modeling. In the past year she has appeared in the movie "Dark Blue" with Kurt Russell and Scott Speedman and had a co-starring role in "Jade Buddha" a mandarin soap opera set to air in China. She acheived these accomplishments in the industry while attending UCLA and has graduated with a degree in economics and minor in asian american studies. After spending a whirlwind year touring around with Hot Import Nights and Import Revolution as an official IREV 2002 girl, Kaila now focuses her attention on her current album release. She first debuted as an artist in March 2003 with her single release "Our Last Night" produced by Bruno Talledo. She also had two tracks on the Bay Area hit Import Jams, one of the #1 selling cds in the Bay Area. Kaila also went on to open for rap star Coolio in Honolulu Hawaii. After her tour across the country to promote the single, she focused energies on producing her full length debut album. The result was an infectious 12 song cd with many club hits and radio friendly songs. The album stands out and is unique because many of the tracks blend asian instruments and music with r&b and hip hop beats. Kaila executive produced her own project and wrote or co-wrote almost all of the songs on the album. The tracks on the album were produced by Mr Lew of B2K and IMX, the songs were mixed by "The Gubnah" who has credits on Vannessa Williams albums, and mastered by Stephen Marsh, who just mastered Ginuwine's new album and has also mastered for Korn, B2K, Ozzy Osbourne, and Nelly. With enough sex appeal to maintain a successful modeling career and enough talent to write and sing in her sweet and soulful voice, this songbird truly has a long career ahead of her. Her international appeal is also evident based on the fact that she can sing fluently in her native language, mandarin and has plans to release tracks in her native tongue.
