Story behind the song
This was written after a car trip out west. Seeing the nuclear power plants, Karen Silkwood & of course the race for saftey we are running now in the post 9/11 world. Who will be left? The second verse alternative I've used at times is "the ranks of terror stop us"....
Lyrics
NUKELORE Words & Music by Marc Meyers With all that's happenin' here, it's as If it had all been planned-ah. We can't let it stop at this, there's Too much cost to a nuclear ban-ah. La La LaJLa, La, La through starlit Arizona nights, What's that shadow bendin' the sky? It's only a real live nuke, givin' us back What our money buy. Oh-ah (Chorus):It's what we're livin' for, its It's what they're livin' for. Who will pronounce us dead? Can we even the score? It's all comin' too true you know, the Japanese And Russians stop us. The world can't be Sold till it's owned, so let us build a stronger nuclear Home. We gotta build a stronger home. (Chorus): It's what we're livin' for, its It's what they're livin' for. Who will pronounce us dead? Can we even the score? (Repeat 2x) Copyright Marc Meyers 2004
