Story behind the song
September 2001. Parody of Octopus’s Garden. The lyrics came to me one morning a day or so after the attack, before Love and Retribution. I had to learn the Octopus solo which was difficult for me because I had not played in the lead guitar style much at the time. It helped me progress quite a bit. Boy, I thought we’d have had ol’ Bin Laden by now.
