This song was recorded with acoustic guitar overdubbed to bring out certain guitar effect. The purpose is to portray that living in the joy of Christ, and trusting him, surpasses living for the flesh.
We are very diverse, meaning any member could be the lead singer or anyone could sing a harmony part.

We are the Comer Family from southern York county Pa. and northern Md. We write all our own songs. We sing in various Chuches and different events locally.
We love to sing about our blessed Saviour. He is worthy of all honor, praise and glory.
Story behind the song
I was watching a Gaither video titled,"HE TOUCHED ME" Of course we all know Elvis was a very spiritual man, especially a year or two before his death. In the video was an interview with one of the members of "J.D. Sumner & the Stamps". I didn't get his name but he said that he was at an Elvis concert and after one of Elvis' songs, someone in the audience jumped up and shouted, "Elvis, you're the king." To which Elvis replied very quickly and assertively, "No, JESUS CHRIST is the KING."
I believe that Elvis is in heaven today singing with the Angels.
Well, after hearing that statement I immediately thought of one of my (and everybody else) favorite Elvis songs. Which is,
" Are You Lonesome Tonight?" I thought what if different lyrics that praised the SON OF GOD were used for that music. Let me acknowledge the writers of that song now, which are Roy Turk and Lou Handman. The original was written in 1927 and went nowhere until Col' Parker asked Elvis to sing it.
I am no Elvis and I'm not trying to be. My purpose is to praise the One and only "begotten" of the Father, Jesus who was faithful even unto the death on the cross.
I have been a Christian since 1974 and I know the assurance of salvation comes from trusting what Christ did on the cross as a payment for all my sin. The assurance comes from him and him alone. If we are trusting in ourself or our goodness, there can be no confidence, for this flesh is incapable of living without sin. Let's face it, we live in flesh that God has condemned because it's evil. How then, can we expect that this evil flesh could ever be good enough for heaven, which is perfect?
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, so only in him, through confession of all sin, and trusting his righteous, pure and holy blood, can we ever see heaven.
The body of flesh will go into the ground for decay but the soul and spirit that has depended totally on Christ will spend eternity with him. Folks, total trust in Christ is assurance, and what accompanys assurance? Gods word puts it like this,"That your JOY may be full" That's the "Power Of His Love"
Amen.
Lyrics
When I think of your love
And your cross stained with blood.
How you suffered and died there for me.
How you were Gods only Son,
And you became the holy One,
That was given to set this world free.
I can't rise in the morning
till I've called on your name.
To forgive my transgression,
my sin and my shame.
Then your Spirit divine,
Makes me know you are mine,
And I am kept in the power of your love.
NARRITIVE:
Jesus, you have told us, "Greater love can no man have than He would lay down his life for his friends" And we know nothing can seperate us from your love. Niether height, nor depth, nor things in the earth, or under the earth, or above the earth. And your holy word says that, "He which hath begun aperfect work in us, will perform it untill the day of Jesus Christ"
And I know that tomorrow, I can call on your name.
To take away all my sorrow, and all your blessings, I'll claim.
And I can live each day through,
For I'm living in you.
And I am kept by the power of your love.
I am kept by the power of your love.
