“Mersy Street is more of a project than anything else. Over the years the people involved in my life and music have changed and that effects everything, the sound, the writing etc. You never do anything in a vacuum, especially artistic expression and that includes everything from taking a picture and painting to song writing.”

Story behind the song
One of the first songs I ever wrote. It was summer 1975, no responsibilities, I was carefree and loved every minute of it until I was traumatized by the realization that I had to get a stupid job. The song doesn’t reveal my grief. LOL
Lyrics
Rise and shine its Monday morning such a fine day for a walk. The rain has gone away and everything’s ok, I’ll just laze away in my dreams. Summertime is here it’s the best time of year and everything’s turning out fine. The wind blows through my hair, I got all the time I can spare and I love that time yes I do. Blue sky and those sunshine days they come down to me in a smile. No more cloudy days I sent them all away. Now I think I’ll laze away the day.
