Story behind the song
This is the story of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ starting from when he was taken form where he was housed under arrest and given his cross to carry on that long walk stumbling on his way. As he reaches the spot where he was to be killed, the crowd shout and cheer as he is nailed to the cross and hoisted into a vertical position. He looks down on the throng but not with hate in his eyes but love and calls to his 'Father' to "Forgive Them"..............
