A look at our modern society and values. I just felt I had to say something about the way we seem to be headed.

I turn on the T.V - it's some talk show about rising crime.
The audience is shouting "we should lock them up for good".
Some guy who steals things is trying to convince us that it's all because he's misunderstood.
Is it me, or is everyone feeling confused?

The DJ on the radio is spouting out statistics
about how my health is failing and my soul has giving up.
A lady from the government's evading his questions but we all know she's really messed things up.
Is it me, or is everything coming unstuck?

If the aliens came here they'd think we were crazy insane.
They would turn round their spaceships, head back in the direction they came.
With a mark in their notebook to never come here again.

I walk into the shopping mall.
Some guy dressed as a doughnut's handing slices of America to all the hungry kids.
