If it's hot then give God the glory. If it's not then blame Mitch.
I'm Joe Johnson a local United Methodist Pastor. Before I felt God calling me into the ministry I thought I was going to be a rap artist. For 8 years I did nothing with music until my wife introduced me to a group called "The Gospel Gansters" in 1998. It was an eye opening experience. I was amazed to see people using rap for the glory of God. That day I picked up paper and pen and I haven't put it down yet.

Lyrics
Who you think you playin with? By Joseph Johnson (Chorus) Who you think you playin with Who you think you playin with Who you think you playin with Who you think you playin with Them games you play really must quit And its obvious you don’t know who you playing with Who you think you playin with Who you think you playin with Who you think you playin with Who you think you playin with The Lord God is Almighty Omnipotent And its obvious you don’t know who you playing with Yo player on the corner making drug the deals You think your fly with guns flashing grills and fancy wheels You the man on the hustle, out there slanging Cain But you ever stop to wonder why they give drugs them names Cain is the name of the first murder His killed his brother for anger, but you do it just for the dollars Dope is the name they call someone dumb Trying to get high,, but that aint your wings you wont fly son Weed’s an unwanted plant that grows quickly full up look tough for a minute but in the end it gets pulled up You aint a entrapanue, your just dope muel Is that you or your product that smells like manure? so addicted, Dr Phil can’t even fix it You think your getting high, your sinking in quicksand call it what you want, whatever for you works But you need to stop playing, before you get hurt (Chorus) repeat Rap Player why you to constantly cuss? Is it a lack of respect or a lack of intelligence I aint saying that words are bad they all have meaning But you keep using the wrong words at the wrong times and its just obsene Got a great beat, but all the cursing getting old The radio sensors you so much your rap sounds like mois code Don’t know what your saying, we got to keep quessing Or mybe the cursing covers the fact that your song doesn’t have a message You say it’s what people want, vulgarity sells Well Narrows the way to heaven, broads the road to hell You don’t talk about women with respect like you aught to Call’em tricks and freaks, I pray they don’t say that bout your daughter I aint a player hater, I’m a prayer sayer So you keep playing now, but you gon pay later A lock on your mouth is whats really needed Cuz every time you speak you dig your hole a little deeper (Chorus) repeat And what about us Christians playing church Aint tryin to be mean, but it seems the playin we dos the worst we suppose to be the light, and Christ like but How we gonna help save someone when all we do is fight We fight about theology and Christology We’re quick to condemn any one who disagrees and it all seems like hypocricy Every time you turn around a church is splittin Arguing over music, pews or how much the preachers gitten Fighting Christian Organizations and other denominations We spend more time fight Christians than time fighting Satan It aint just a shame it’s a problem And we need to repent on our knees and ask the Lord to help us solve’em It’s hurting our witness of the Lord above Like the song said they’ll know we are Christians by our love You once was blind, but now can see, if you open your eyes It God we’re playing against,- you better recognize (Chorus) repeat
