A melodic, symphonic hardcore Japanese rock band.
Staple is a Japanese melodic, symphonic hardcore band. Although practically unheard of in North America, this band sounds similar to a band called Nature Living, but better.
As for Staple's debut CD, the first track "In the Forest of Elf" starts out relatively soft, compared to the other four songs. Beautiful female vocals come in, which surprised a lot of others, since many thought it was an all-guy band.
After the first track ends, putting you in a very melancholy mood, as does all the songs, then it seems the album really begins. It starts of softly enough, and then comes in with a driving punkish/rockish beat.
The EP goes on to deliver really great heavy rock/emo/hardcore, similar to Thursday, but not recognizably so. The vocals are right on throughout the whole CD, and just tugs at your heartstrings. Highly recommended, although next to impossible to get anywhere.
