Story behind the song
One of the co-writers to the lyrics of this song, Harry Jon Nanos, was conducting radio interviews and the DJ's kept saying great things about the other writer, Mark Donohoe like "Mark's such a great guy". After the interviews, Harry rang Mark and told him all the nice things the DJ's kept saying and Mark said to Harry..."Tell my Wife That" and a couple of hours later over the phone, they wrote this song.
