Q aka The Chemist
This guy will change the world of R&B with a sound that's all his own. A style like no other. He has a voice that has been compared to Ralph Tresvant(of New Edition)which is his favorite singing group in the world and he shows ladies though the songs he writes that love is still important and it still exists in the world of music. One of his biggest influences is R-Kelly, who he would like to work with someday. He says R-Kelly writes from his heart and "Q" has always admired his talent and hopes to be as musically successful and respected in the music world as R-Kelly, who is one of the hottest producers and song writers around. If you listen to "Q" words, you'll understand him because his music reflects who he is. He's very passionate about his music and thats one thang you'll hear when you listen to him sing, even if you don't like his style or vocals, you have to respect his writing ability. He has been told by people that he has a way with words that so many of us can relate to. As an unsigned local artist ,he has proven that he can hang with the best. With tracks like "A Man's Story", "I Appreicate U" and "Not Your Type Of Man" these songs along with the others off his album, hold their own against signed artists. He has produced other local acts and put his winning touch on their music, so you know it will be as good as his own. You be the judge but no matter how you feel after you listen to his music, you will see that "Q" has talent that is ready for the world to witness. Every song was produced and written by him.

Story behind the song
These days everyone makes a song about someone they love and i don't see anything wrong with that at all. I wrote this song in memory of my grandmother who died in 1998 of cancer. She was such a big influence in my life. Before she died she was always wanting me to sing and she loved my high notes. She taught me so much from her kindness and her love. My grandma always told me, when she knew i was gonna sing somewhere, to always make the crowd believe in your talent and your words. She said women will love you and guys might not like you because of your ability to sing so well. keep your head up and don't let nuthin stand in your way. This is a woman that i owe so much to and i could tell you alot but you get the idea. now shes not here with us right now in life, she's here in spirit and that will always leave me hoping and believing in my talent and love for what I like to do, "Just because your gone(Doesn't mean your gone) I love you grandma!!when you listen to this song, the recording might not be as good cuz at the time, I lost my studio equipment in a fire so i had to use not so well equipment. People say I should re-record it but i won't because at the time I recorded it, it was at the time she died and it was so emotional for me then so i don't won't to take away from that feeling. It just means something to me.
