Story behind the song
My hometown Okaya, Nagano, Japan is a city verges on Suwa Lake and surrounded by the mountains. The city and the lake is always very calm whenever I go back there. This calm water travels through the central Japan and eventually arrive to the sea. I wanted to depict the impression of these landscapes in 3 movements of 'Music for Flute and Piano'.
