Vivian Buczek is a 27-year-old singer born and living in Malmö, Sweden. Her home was always full of jazz. Early on she listened to music on records and live, as performed by her parents. Her father, Bruno Buczek, played trombone with top Polish jazz groups - The Wichary Orchestra, Warsaw Stompers, The Pagart and Stodola Big Bands, and Swing Session. Her mother, Krystyna Buczek, played vibraphone in Klipsy, Poland's first all-female jazz-oriented instrumental group.
Vivian is graduated from the Malmö Music Academy as vocal jazz educator.
In Sweden she has performed with number of Swedish major jazz names like world famous clarinett player Putte Wickman,pianists Jan Lundgren and Claes Crona prestigious events like f.ex concerts in Berwaldhallen, Stockholm,Malmö Concert Hall and number of jazz festivals .Lately she performed with Clark Terry invited like "special guest".She is also visiting often Poland and 2003 she recorded an album with legends of Polish jazz scene like the pianist /organist Wojtek Karolak and drummer Andrzej Dabrowski (album with Stan Getz)
Album "Can't We Be Friends?" is a recording debut of this superb vocalist, who is likely to become a major new voice and destined for an international career.
