In the words of James Taylor, It's me and my guitar. Always in the same mood! Then again, maybe my guitar is just humoring me - sigh -
Just me, I'm an old Folksinger that still plays out once in a blue moon. Thank you for listening to my primitive acoustic songs. I am a retired Army Bandsman, a certified Wall Wacker, and am currently a teacher. Next time I retire I am going back into Folksinging. It's the perfect occupation really, no hope of fame and fortune and definately keeps me humble. Folksinging just naturally makes me a better person I s'pose.

Story behind the song
This song popped out all by itself. It is really just a standard blues tune with a little warped philosophy laid over the top.
Lyrics
Love Paints a Picture Charles W - T Consaul There was an ugly looking man He met an ugly looking woman In an ugly looking bus stop In the ugly part of town There was an ugly wind blowing And some nasty rain falling But it didn't even matter When he followed her down Because Love paints a picture Right up over your eyes And when love Paints that picture You can get through the day without no surprise (Without alibis) (in your own disquise) There was a hungry looking Cowboy in a smoky little bar He was drinking it dry But he wasn't getting far Because a shady little lady That he didn't even see Started looking real freindly At a quarter past Three (chorus) And you may not be able To draw a straight line With a ruler, Down a row But when infatuation inspires you Deep in your mind, You're Vincent Van Gogh So when life is getting ugly And your thoughts are getting ugly And when all you see is ugly And when push comes to shove You can buy you a picture to paste over your eyes But it's a whole lot cheaper to try falling in love (chorus) C2: When love paints that picture Right up over your mind Love paints that picture Everything around you is a little more kind When love paints that picture All around you heart When love paints that picture Everything around you is a work of art Even if you're only married And you care to let it show You can benifit from love If you only let it grow You can transform that Dagwood That you hardly even know And make that tired old Blondie Look Like Marylin Monroe (Chorus, Chorus) 'Cause it's an UGLY little planet Made of DIRT and MUD and GRANITE I believe that's how GOD planned it It's an UGLY little World You might wake up in the morning And you say "It looks allright" But I promise you by night It's an UGLY little world!!!
