Yo wassup, my name is Ryan, but most know me as "The Stixter". I got the name =Dj Stix back in middle school when I worked as a Dj for an online hiphop radio station. I started producing music when I was about 10 years old. At the time, I was doing instrumental bass beats from samples I had downloaded. I started getting into rap when I was about 13. I went out and bought a mixboard, a mic, and hooked all the shit up to my computer. Got a recording program and before I knew it...I'm in the rap game. Most of the early stuff I recorded was horrible, but over time I got the hang of it and my lyrics advanced to a place I never imagined. I just love writing, I love the rhythm of hiphop, I love rhyming, and I love the finished product. Currently 17, I have been steadily working on my first album "Overcast: Night Of Day" The original release date was suppose to be in the summer of 2004...album consisting of 15 tracks. I got behide and decided to aim for December. The end of 2004 rolled around and I still wasn't satisfied, so I cut several tracks and decide to add several new projects. Still currently in the making, Overcast will be released in June of 2005. It's been a 2 year project and I hope its success will be all I've wanted. There will be 2 CD's...each consisting of 15 tracks. People have been asking me for years when the album will be released and when they can buy it. Most of them believe I'm just a big joke. They think...white rapper, independent, producing music at home...this guy has got to be kidding...he doesn't even fit the rapper lifestyle. HaHa did I have them fooled. In Early 2005 I developed a website www.stixrecords.2ya.com where I would be able to stream my music over the internet. This would allow people to get a taste for my music and message I was delivering. The site currently holds over 20 of my tracks...from freestyles to demos to actual tracks off upcoming albums. Considering that I've been writing since I was 13, you can imagine how many songs I've written. Nearly 100! I'm trying to catch up with myself and get them all done, but at times it's harder than it looks. I typically write 2 songs a week and produce 1. I have recorded a total of 45 tracks since the age of 13. So why no album yet? What is the wait? It's all about perfection...I want this album to be solid...Something everyone will enjoy. I'll have club joints, love joints, spiritual joints, freestyles, and even some unique surprises. Since I started the webpage I have been getting mad feedback. I got people shocked at school. I got a waiting list of people wanting to record at my studio. I got people preordering copies. Yet I still have people looking at me crazy...wondering how the hell I do it. It's skill and passion. I do it fun...I could seriously care less if people hate it or love it. But if people can understand my message and feel it...the better. Who knows what to expect. When the time comes...and the album is done...I just hope I'm floatin up to my neck in money. I'm rich! Just remember...June 2005, 15 sick tracks, 8 bucks a pop. This summer I plan on releasing another album titled Quit Work, Make Music. I'm also working on a colaboration album with my boys KruZ, Billy B.A., E.I., and Asylum that will be released at the end of 2005. That album titled Incognito will be hot for sure. We've been working hard on it the past year and I know for a fact it will be solid. I only work with the greatest and the whole ScP (Sound Ceeps Playing) Crew has shown raw talent and effort. I would also like to thank all the producers, artists, and fans that have stood by and supported my music over the years. These include Dj Aron, Dj Puff, Dj Naughty, KruZ, Asylum, Mikky G, W.Teen.G, Nonfikshen, DxB, Billy B.A., E.I, Hostyle One Productions, Ozone Productions, Rock It Productions, Hi-Fly Productions, Devize Productions, Shadowville Productions, and many more! Without their outstanding beats, my lyrics wouldn't be droppin em hot. There aren't any words to describe the feeling I get from writing and rapping. I love everything about it. To my inspirations, to my fans, to fellow artists...if it's your passion...stick with it, never give up. In the end, we all fall victims to the music. Thank You* Email Stix at thestixter@gmail.com
