Austrian Melodic Power Metal Band! --- Disbanded in 2006!
Austrian Melodic Power Metal Band Eleftheria was founded in 2004, and has been in existence in it's current lineup since about that time. We play Melodic Power Metal, with a lot of different influences due to the diverse musical backgrounds of our various members. So we include elements from Black or Death metal as well as folks elements and traditional Heavy Metal parts. Furthermore, the availability of 4 singing voices adds to the diversity of the songs. Anyone interested in traditional European-style Metal should risk a download, and maybe even someone who doesn't especially like that genre might be pleasantly surprised.

Story behind the song
This song actually was written over the course over a couple of years by our drummer on the piano (hence the myriads of different piano-parts), during which the song went through quite a number of changes... however finally with Eleftheria, our drummer found a way to pack the whole thing into a song and record it, and so here it is! In the end it turned out to be a 3-Part-Epic, encompassingly entitled "The Warrior's Return". This part now is the second of those three, after a slow intro with spoken lyrics which should, along with this second part, "The Warrior's Aria" transmit the feeling of a seasoned warrior's pondering on the eve of battle; and the feelings he has in this last night of peace and quiet, not knowing if he will live to see another day. The last part, "The Warrior's Battle" then describes the dreaded sunrise on the horizon, and the warrior almost despairs as he "cannot see" that horizon, so clouded it is with the rising clouds of dust that the masses of his enemies stir up from the ground. The "battle", which is heavily inspired by some Savatage-choruses is probably the weirdest part in the song, along with the part right after the first chorus, which is played in an entirely different tempo than the rest of the song. Live, this part always proves a certain challenge, but sometimes we manage ;) My personal favorite parts, though, are the melancholy chorus with I hope somewhat thoughtful lyrics, and the solo which is fittingly played by our lead guitarist "Van" Alen... amazing job on that, probably my favorite solo in all our songs! Enjoy!
Lyrics
Part II: The Warrior's Aria Verse 1 Can you save me in your dreams? Is all that is all as it seems? If my eyes could pierce the veil Would we stumble, would we fail? Verse 2 What will the fateful morning hold? What truths of war shall then be told? What will await me behind gates Of broken vows when dreams are sold? Break Now I see... Everything is dark... For me... Now I see... Verse 3 When the day comes, will we rise? When the earth shakes, as the skies; When the rivers turn to black With that shiver on my back Verse 4 Can I save all that is dear And then defeat my inner fear And so protect all that I love When battle dawns and hell is near Break Chorus Is the right I do Enough to justify the wrong? Is this dream of doom Truly where I do belong? I was forged to kill A sword for life to spill And so I am the lost; A hero at high cost… Verse 5 Now the dawn breaks, as before And I can not see any more I now just have to face death And the most intimate last breath In the end a sun may rise Still to blind my sore old eyes But can I see this blinding light Before a night falls on my sight? Break Solo Chorus Part III: The Warrior's Battle I: I can see there's no horizon I can't see horizons... II: Never sleep, never dream Never wake, never see forevermore... III: Fly away...
