Story behind the song
Man, it's a bad thing to feel blue but when you are also sad it makes feeling blue "So Damn Blue". I got these lyrics from a scar on my heart. Sort of a Doc Pomus type song (Lonely Avenue) with a BB King like track (The Thrill Is Gone) and a Albert King style guitar lick, (I'll Play My Blues For You). Can ya' hear that? All three, Doc, BB and Albert are on my heroes list. This track will be on my up coming new CD titled "Lil' Help from the other Side". The backing track was furnished to me by another hero of mine, Marvin Taylor of Band In The Pocket and for that I express many thanks.
