Brett Clark, Singer/Songwriter Only, in search of a label.
New CD to be available August of 2007. Singer, songwriter Brett Clark has been involved with music in one way or another since he was a young boy. Growing up singing with the jukebox to Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell and many others in the tavern where he grew up, was where it all started. Although "Wichita Lineman" was his favorite song as a boy, he grew to admire the great Merle Haggard. Brett is a self taught drummer and guitarist from the age of 12. After drumming with a band in the early 90s, Brett decided to pick back up the guitar and start writing. After several songs were written over the years, Brett decided to start moving forward with his music. Brett's music is currently on radio stations throughout Europe, New Zealand, Sweden, Japan, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Australia, Norway, Denmark, France, and Texas. Thanks to all the DJs, and everyone for listening.

Story behind the song
A reminder of what our troops are going through for us.
Lyrics
As I lay down my head I listen to the sand Pelt the Canvas Walls I look over at the bunk next to me Now there's no one there at all That's where Billy laid his head The night before Now he's just a number on the wall Billy put his life on the front line So you could have your freedom And I could have mine Here is to the bravest man I know A friend who lived beside me Within these Canvas Walls Packing up his things I found this letter Half written and it said Give my babies kisses And I miss you all real bad So I finished writing the last paragraph And this is what I said Chorus... Oh a friend who lived beside me Within these Canvas Walls
