Known throughout the streets, now, as "The Voice of Palm Beach," Phatboi has steadily climbed his way to the top of the Underground to become a hot commodity on the streets. Like water is to fish, Phatboi's style as well as his meticulous lyrics has become a necessity to individuals influenced and inspired by the Underground Rap Game.
Native of Elizabeth New Jersey, born June 23, 1985, Giorgio M. moved to Delray Beach Florida at the age of 3. As a child growing up in a household with both parents present, Giorgio led the life of any typical male Haitian-American growing up in the south. But shortly after entering high school, Giorgio joined the football team under the impression that football would be his destiny, not knowing that his life was about to change forever. The time Giorgio spent on the field brought him happiness and filled him with joy, but the time spent in the locker rooms freestylin' and listening to music during half-time, made him feel even better. Soon after, Giorgio came to the conclusion that freestylin' and writing music made him happier than playing football. It was then that Giorgio decided to retire from the sport in order to persue his dreams of writing and eventually producing music in which everyone would love. Giorgio got his first taste of what would be like working in the industry, when he began working at a local underground radio station owned by his father. There he would be introduced to various artists such as: Bootlegg, J-Saaleb, and Finish Lyne. From there Giorgio received his first beat and made the hit single "Shake Somethin’", which is when he became the artist we know of today as "PHATBOI". From a novice in the industry to a man of distinction, Phatboi is by definition a man of many talents, thereby being a triple-threat when it comes to knowing Phatboi and knowing his work. This artist/writer/producer/CEO is a connoisseur whose sole purpose is to make music for everyone to enjoy.
Phatboi, who now prefers to be called, “The Voice of Palm Beach”, is a fastidious artist indeed. Now making regular appearances at local "hot-spots" that include Club Prestige, Club Kashmir, Club Ovation, and Delray Beach's very own Haitian Festival, performing his hit singles entitled "B****-A-Fied", "Shawty", and Left 2 Right” off of his never released debut album "Raw Material", which is said to be released sometime in January 2006. The album features various underground artists known throughout Palm Beach County, such as: Trickk, WillyDread, 2 Slabz, C4, and many others. The album also includes production by Ronnie T., SO, R-Keys, Bruzer, and of course Phatboi himself.
As an Artist, Phatboi feels as if he has grown a great deal when it comes to making music and performing, because he now has the ability to connect with his fans on a different level. As a Producer, Phatboi strives to make music for everyone. And as a Person, he lives by the motto "If you don't work, you don't eat, if you don't grind, then you won't shine", in hopes of becoming the next hip-hop icon. For this saying is the very reason why Phatboi continues to work on furthering his career in order to achieve his goals of first, placing Palm Beach County on the "Map" and then to go on to make and produce music that everyone will love.
