Jamie Taylor is a multi-instrumentalist with a deep love of Rock and Roll and the Blues. A natural drummer, he gravitated toward the guitar and eventually began writing material outside of his current band (Used For Glue). Jamie has often stated that he would like to be known as a "drummer who can play slide guitar".
And after years of hearing bad drummer jokes, he decided to name his solo effort "Drummers Can't Play Guitar". His Izzy Straddlin/Ron Wood vocal style came from the lack of a lead vocalist, and a limited vocal range.
Many comparisons to the Stones, Faces, Black Crowes and the Boss are cited, but blues players like Johnny Winter have had great influence over the overall tone and sound of Jamie's music.
