JohnnyD is not your typical singer. In fact, he is something outta the ordinary. Johnny gracefully crosses the boundaries between R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop, creating a signature sound guranteed to appeal to music fans of all three genres. JohnnyD strives to lead the new millennium music scene, breaking racial barriets and defying categorization. 23 year old JohnnyD was born in raised in the OC, in sunny California. He grew up in a family where both his father and uncle were musicians. As a young child, Johnny loved to sing and would often entertain his family. At the age of 10, he was out performing and singing for his father's band at various local venues. Encouraged by his family, Johnny began to develop more of an interest in singing and by the time he was in high school, he'd begun participating in talent shows and performing at school functions. The experience thrilled him and motivated him to pursue music seriously. Johnny has also had success in Hollywood as well. He has appeared in small feature walk-on roles on such hit shows as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and UPN's "One on One." But he knew that acting is not what he really wanted to do. So he went back into the studio and got right back to work on his first love, music. He linked up with long time friend and singer/actor Chris "C-Dubb" Wilson. The two quickly realized that they had great chemistry and started working on recording their first project. The demo was produced by the team of Black Diamond Productions from Studio City, CA. Currently, JohnnyD is putting out a hip-hop/R&B EP project with well acclaimed producer/rapper StayStrap of Mayhem Productions. The sound is unlike any other that is out there. The project is set to released early September so be on the look out for that. Also, JohnnyD is working on his first solo LP set to drop Dec 2005/Jan 2006 by TeamOmni Music, LLC. JohnnyD enter the music game challenging traditional music conventions and blazing trails for other Asian and ethnic musical groups to follow. "Make no mistake; with hard work and dedication, you will be more then ready for the journey of what's to come."
