"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott tribute song
Southern, dark blues and a crushing, ballsy heavy metal sound.
Story behind the song
I had to write a song for my music course at college, so after the tragic events of December 8th 2004 and with the loss of one of the greatest guitarists and PEOPLE to grace this earth, I decided to write a song in honour of Dimebag Darrell. RIP DIME!!!
Kief - All guitars
Great thanks goes to Tom Gittins ("Wuz") from Ikon (www.ikonworldwide.com) for playing drums and bass on the track, recording/mastering and for lending his ears! (Cheers dude!!) And also to Kevin (Mouth4war) from the Zakk Wylde forum for putting his AWESOME vocals on. Thanks Bro!!
Lyrics
Walkin' down a dusty road,
Now we walk this road alone
Searchin' for the answers,
That would bring you back home.
Just to see your face again,
I'd give you my all
We've lost the guiding light
And the answering call
(Chorus)
Ever since that day,
When you were taken away,
We've lived in so much pain,
But we won't forget your name...
Come hell or high water
Thinkin' how you lived your life,
You were one of a kind
Dreaming in black and white,
Of the memories you left behind,
Lord, I know you're waiting there,
Waitin' for us all,
We'll find our guiding light,
And you're answering call.
(Chorus)
Hell or high water...
Come hell or high water...
Hell or high water...
Hell...or high water
(Chorus)
