Lyrics
'Rock My Soul' The lights are on I'm headin' down your way Ain't a thing you can do or say Nothin's gonna stop this heart a' mine Not the road or rain or hands of time Been so long since I came down this road Things have grown around the seeds I sowed You can look at any girl in town But I'm the one who's makin' all the ground Oh come on n' rock my soul Oh come on n' rock n' roll I sure need a hand to hold Oh come on n' rock me Well I've been through a lotta simple men Pretty boys n' some I'd try again But you're the one who keeps me guessin' still You're the one I guess you always will You're the cowboy leanin' on the bar N' you're the hotshot in the fancy car But I'm the girl who's gonna tie you down Break a heart or two to bring you round © Maria Daines/Paul Killington 5.12.04

"About the song Just came in the blink of an eye & we wrestled it down. " -- Hardly seems fair, because it came out so well. Great song & performance.

Simple and strightforward lyrics though still maintaining a poetic quality, and a lively, catchy melody, and that soulful, expressive voice make for a fine track. Kudos.
