metal classic rock you vorpal scythe entrapment slave of the satan
This band was formed when I(Rohan) thought of getting a band together that is into some good classic rock and metal, not that nu-metal crap!!!!! Anyhow, I thought about it and spoke to Dhar, he willingly agreed. We came up with the song Vorpal Scythe and thought of nobody better than John to fill in the lead guitar parts. We had three people then, and now all we needed was the most difficult person to find in delhi ( A drummer). We found Varun on rsj classifieds, met with him, he played pretty good, so we took him in. And that's how we were born!!!! Songs: 1)Vorpal Scythe: - This song is basically about the medieval war time, when a prince used to be pampered in his fortress and then is forced into battle and witnesses the brutality of war himself. He then feels the grief of killing so many people but can't do anything about it. The war was so fierce, that it became a legend and he became a hero of his time through something he hated doing. 2)Entrapment: - This song is basically about a person being hooked onto drugs and how the drugs trap him into a life that he doesn't want to live, but he has to live. It seems like heaven when he gets hooked onto it, but realises that it is like a black hole and sucks him in so deep that he can never possibly get out. 3)Slave of the Satan: - It represents a person that has done all bad things in his life, and now he is a slave of satan, and he wishes that he could be given another life so as to repair the things that he did, and be with the angels instead of rotting in hell!!!! Vorpal Scythe are: - Rohan Solomon - Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar Subhraneel Dhar - Bass John Sangtam - Lead Guitar and Backing vocals Varun Ahuja - Drums We hope to see you all at our gigs...

Story behind the song
This song is basically about the medieval war time. It is about a prince who was used to a life of luxury and comfort but is forced into battle to save his people. This is when he witnesses the brutality of war himself. He feels intense grief after the battle is over and he sees the sea of blood that is surrounding him and yet there is nothing that can be done. The war was so fierce that it became stuff of the legends and the prince became a hero by doing something he didn't want to do. This song is a classic example of how a hero is made out of circumstances and are not born.
Lyrics
(R. Solomon/S. Dhar/J. Sangtam) Down at the frontline, where the heroes, they weep Unaware about tomorrow’s uncertainties Down in the wasteland the fear of death remains I lived in a fortress with no agony, no pain But everything’s changed We saddled our horses and the knights, they followed me As we walked out of the fortress with our armors and artillery As we prepared for combat and approached our enemies The trumpets were roaring, only killing, killing I see. Killing I see (Bridge) After the dust cleared up, I took a breathe of relief One look at the deceased, I felt this intense grief And I felt regret when I saw my enemies. Down at the sunset valley, there’s a mass funeral pyre The women weep as we bury the dead martyrs Little boys in the village hear tales of the blood bath Coz, this is the story of the Vorpal Scythe of wrath.
