Story behind the song
Celtic Music is pretty popular in Canada, but most of it comes from the Atlantic Maritime region. Even the loads of Celtic bands from Ontario play a lot of Maritime tunes --- but most Canadians are unaware that there are thousands of AWESOME traditional tunes indiginous to Ontario. We thought we should start performing some of the traditional music of our home province and so we recorded "Maidens of Ontario"! (It's about lumbermen around the St. Lawrence River, Gatineau, Ottawa Valley area).
